Redneck Weekend

This weekend was all about having a classic Cache Valley experience at Black and White Days in Richmond, Utah. We went to the horse pulling matches. For those of you not country enough to know what this is, they hook a team of horses to a sled with cement weights on it and the horses have to pull the sled 20 feet. They keep adding weight until they max out what the teams can pull and have a winner. It's interesting to watch how the horses work together and what happens when they don't. I'm also fascinated by how responsive the animals are to the driver.

It's almost as fun to watch the people as it is the horses! Yes, I did study sociology. ☺ Cowboy hats, wifebeaters, and farmer tans galore! What more could you ask?
